Elect Joshua Correa for Placentia City Council District 1, a father & trusted community advocate
Or, if you just want to help build a better Placentia, Please let Joshua know.
Hi, I'm Joshua
About Me
A student of Tynes Elementary, Kraemer Jr. High and Valencia High School before moving away to study Art, Business & Theology. When Joshua moved back with his wife Deb and their small family he immediately pulled District 1 residents together to work on a better solution surrounding the proposed digital billboards. As a result the proposed billboards light pollution did not face Placentia residents. We did not see an electronic billboard placed in the cul-de-sac, facing the parks or local school.
As a faithful follower of Jesus, Joshua has put himself in-between several community issues to advocate for residents, business owners, homeless & our youth. He is an advocate, not an activist. What is the difference? Jesus was willing to go to the cross for those He sought to save. Joshua doesn't easily turn a blind eye to a problem facing our community. His stances have usually been fueled by grace, education and diplomacy. He realizes the importance of building bridges to make Placentia "a Pleasent Place" for his two daughters and for the other families that make up this town.
He learned the importance of diplomacy and to be educated on issues by watching his Grandfather Rodrigo Jimenez work for District 1 as a commissioner and volunteer. His heritage and roots go deep into the community. Thomas Muñoz his great Grandfather was commemorated at champions field for being a beloved baseball coach. Tom showcased how to be a loving and compassionate man, & Joshua strives to live with that type of grace in his life.
Joshua has organized a Pastors Prayer group for several years, made up of local clergy. The origins of this group were rooted in restoring the Ministers Association that Pastor Nicholas Saucedo of the Nazarene church established back in the early 90's. Joshua knows the task of governance is not an easy and together Pastors pray weekly for God to guide our leaders.
